EXERT YOURSELF AND MAKE EFFORTS

n many cases, people are suspicious that the other individual is after him to obtain a favour or gain some advantage his expense. This attitude springs from the self preserving attitude of human beings and in a way, is quite natural. We are all selfish in some way, even when we wish to help others. We do want the satisfaction of helping others. You should, thereforebe very careful not to ask for favours and obligations. You should never give the idea or impression that you are out to sponge on him. Do favours if you can, but make it a point not to seek favours. In fact, when you practice the techniques of leadership, others will find joy in doing things the way you want and all your requirements will be met automatically. If you can learn to live within your income, you will not be in a situation, when you have to ask favours from others. When you recognize you have a responsibility towards others, your first task is to the attend to other person’s needs. Then only your leadership develops and expands. If you stop for a second and reflect, you will see that those whom you like best are those who have shown an interest in you and have made sacrifices for you. If you want others to like you, you have to conduct yourself in the like manner. To become a leader, therefore, you must start practicing what you have learnt as rules and techniques so far. Exert yourself and make efforts. You will learn by the process of trial and error. Do not wait, vacillate, hesitate and postpone. Begin now and start with the next person you see and meet. Keep a diary and get down in it what principle or rule you havepractised with what result. Leadership is a way of living. Practise and more practice will bring you success and make you a strong, positive and lovable leader. Action and action alone is the key to your success.
Say “please” help me, “please” do it for me, “please” let me handle it and you will notice “please” taking you to places. “I am a proud of you” are just a group of 5 little words. Say them with the right voice and let the other person know that you mean what you say. Use these words at employee or colleague at the office. Let them know that you are a really proud of something they did. Now observe the reaction. See how pleased, happy and inflated they are. See how they are careful and go all out to ensure that the fine opinion about you remains unchanged.
You want to obtain willing information from an individual. If so, try using these words.”What is your opinion?” Encounter any important person-busybody, politician, preacher, banker, editor or professor and watch how he feels important when you put that question and start giving you his opinion or comments. The three ideal words to induce people to do things for you are: “If you please!” Make sure that you this mall phrase of just three words when you wish someone to do something for you. Tag them to your request, plea, order whatever it be. You will then witness of the power of word magic. Similarly, to small words” Thank You” can admirably convey your sincere appreciation to others, make them feel very happy that they did a good turn for you.
